I used to scramble home from school in order to play this, in order to tend to my animals, and to harvest crops for the people I wanted to befriend. It was a beautiful game, and it was one of the most profound influences upon my early life. You could say I became a better person for playing this game. It was very subtle, and I can recall desperately hoping I could become a farmer just to emulate this lifestyle. I think it taps into everyone who has felt an attachment to a sense of community, a tightly knit group of people, or just rural admiration.Maybe I’m just getting too into it. Anyway, if someone who played this and enjoyed it as much as I reblogs this at least once, I’ll know it was worth rambling.
